About the Journal

Approach and scope

Huarte San Juan. Geografía e Historia (Geography and History) is an annual electronic journal published by Public University of Navarre since 1994. The journal focuses on the study of history from a broad perspective, from both a chronological and thematic point of view. HSJ was born with the purpose to be a space to discuss and interact open to the researching community, aiming at moving forward and delving into our historic knowledge of the different elements of the past. The journal is offered as a forum for historians to share ideas, review traditional research areas and explore new interdisciplinary approaches and areas. Accepted academic formats are basically research papers and book reviews.

Paper proposed

Papers sent to the journal to be published must be original and unpublished. Papers being evaluated by other journals at the same time will not be accepted.

Papers will be sent through section Submissions of this website. They must include the abstract and key words in Spanish and English. The title of the paper, which must be as short and clear as possible, will also appear in English.

The author’s data, including all identity information, as well as an e-mail of contact, will be sent in a different document. Likewise, it will be indicated whether the paper is the result of a research paper or not.
