Peer Review Process

Huarte de San Juan. Geografía e Historia strictly follows an external peer review policy.

- The journal’s editorial team will acknowledge receipt of the received originals within up to 7 days.

- The manuscripts will be reviewed anonymously (double-blind system) by two people specialised in the subject matter external to the editorial team. The form used by the external reviewers is public and authors have access to it. Download assessment form.

- In case of disagreement between the external evaluations, the editorial team will request a third review, which will decide on the paper’s suitability for publication.

- Huarte de San Juan. Geografía e Historia agrees to inform of whether the work has been accepted or not within twelve weeks from the beginning of the evaluation process. The evaluation process reports will be attached - always anonymously - to the answer, so the author may insert the requested modifications.

- Authors will count on up to 10 days to send the corrected version of their work.

- The editorial team will review the revisions and will make sure they meet the requirements of the article’s assessment reports. The editorial team will notify the final decision on the text publication within 15 days.

- If the paper has been accepted, the authors will receive different versions to correct them. From that moment on, the changes that may be made will be very limited. Corrected versions will be sent back to the journal’s editorial team within up to ten days.
